Our Story

Owner and founder Kevin Murray began his lifetime dedication to building at the age of twelve as he accompanied his father to job sites whenever given the chance.  His father, Michael Murray, immigrated from Ireland for the opportunity to build a comfortable life for himself and his family.  Together, the pair worked around Boston to contract and renovate both new and existing homes, as well as refurbish historic homes of the metro area. From a young age Kevin was learning everything about construction-- from delicately repairing crumbling Victorian chimneys, to how to lead large scale projects. 

Kevin later graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology and Arizona State University with degrees in both Engineering and Construction Management.  He began his career in a project management position at Boston Development Associates, quickly realizing that his desire was to own and operate his own residential construction firm.  Murray Homes and Renovation Co., Inc. was born out of that ambition.  For thirty years he has been the president and lead manager at Murray Homes and has a lengthy list of satisfied clients and homeowners to his credit.  His greatest satisfaction comes from providing quality work that will be enjoyed for a lifetime, and to that end he is on site to see each project through to its timely and professional completion.
